Tropical Kimono Paired With Laced Body Suit & Trousers

Tropical Kimono Paired With Laced Body Suit & Trousers

The challenge was on when I decided to try out new style outfits and colour combinations to create more diverse and edgy looks. An easy way to step out of your style comfort zone is by mix and matching colours of different tones.  Since of late I have been enjoying pops of high colours, such as orange. Orange screams summer and is definitely eye catching in these streets. For today’s look, I paired this cute burnt orange trousers with a white laced body suit and a tropical kimono.

 OOTD: Tropical Kimono & Trousers

Tropical kimonos are great for everyday casual styles, they are edgy, chic comfortable and girly. They can be paired with short shorts, denim jeans, trousers and even mini dresses, to name a few. Though they have been gracing the streets for years, I simple cannot help but love how stylish and summer perfect they are.

They had that extra bit of chic layering for everyday outfits. If you want to wear something simple and easy to style then I recommend a dark coloured bottom piece with a white tropical print kimono or a nude, or light coloured bottom piece with a dark coloured printed kimono. Complete your look with a simple footwear, an easy strappy sandals, boots or simple heel will do. In case you were wondering, they come in varying lengths so you can easily choose the one you are most comfortable with.  In this outfit, the mid length tropical kimono is perfect because it does not impede on my footwear, since I am already wearing trousers and heels.

Be careful not to over layer your outfit when wearing a kimono, particularly of this length or longer; a simple yet sexy body suit like this one does the job or a crop top would be great too. I will be sharing a lot kimonos you can try out.

Ooooh, I am in love with this outfit! It most definitely screams spring/summer to me, and if I saw you out and about, I would instantly be in a good mood from all the beautiful colours and florals. Adding the kimono was such a great idea because it makes the look more interesting and unique. The trousers also seem perfect for summer because of the leg slits which make it super breathable. This would be a perfect day-to-night outfit too. The second to last photo is so beautiful and you look lovely Delaine!

I actually don’t own a kimono, but I think I’m going to need to invest in one for the remainder of this summer and probably whip up a chic look for Spring time!

This post is very detailed & nice! Love it 💚💚
