Pow I Mixed L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Glow & Pro Matte To Create a Look

The story goes like this, I wanted to get my makeup on for work. I don’t wear makeup everyday to work, so I wanted my look to be refreshing and pretty for that particular day. I picked up both the L’Oreal Paris infallible Pro Glow and Pro Matte a few weeks back. If you remember from my last foundation post,  I was expressing my deep desire to try out the L’Oreal infallible foundations, which seemed at the time to be hard to get.

L’Oreal Paris Pro Glow & Pro Matte

I grabbed the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Glow online at Walgreens for only $12.79, these foundations seem to go really fast and are quite scare, especially in a particular shade. Nevertheless, I was able to make my order. When it arrived, I was a bit disappointed that it was a shade lighter than my skin tone. I didn’t want to resell it or have to give it away, so immediately started considering the possibility of mixing it with a darker foundation, so that it doesn’t go to waste.

The L’Oreal Paris Pro Glow is extremely lightweight and creamy and is a medium coverage foundation. Unlike the L’Oreal Paris Pro Matte that I picked up locally, which was just a tiny bit darker than my skin tone.  L’Oreal Paris Pro Matte is also light-weight and creamy and gives demi-matte 24 hour finish. Both foundations are said to last up-to-24 hours.

L'Oreal Paris

I applied both foundations to my face 8:00 a.m the Friday morning and removed from face 8:00 p.m the Friday night. That is only 12 hours of wear, I was definitely not able to try out for 24 hours. However, it was a very long day a work and when I got home, my look was still going strong and surprisingly, I didn’t do any touch ups throughout the day, I just blotted now and again.

The Finish

More about this mixed look. It wasn’t planned at all, I just went ahead and did it. It turned out to be much better than I expected, it was demi-matte finish with a tiny bit of glow. Everyone complimented me about my look, I was even surprised myself that it turned out so well. I couldn’t keep myself away from the mirrors.

This post is not only about my impromptu mix of two different foundations. I also picked up a blush that I have been wanting to try lately. Milani “Red Vino” has become my favourite blush of all time! It is highly pigmented and perfect for my skin tone, I just had to share my two cents on it.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you have ever mixed foundations before, I would love to know how it worked it in the comments section below.

Happy Saturday

Nice review. I haven’t tried mixing 2 of these before but recently I picked up one of Loreal’s infallible Matte Pro and it works amazing. I also have to mix mine with another foundation because I found that the shades were a bit off. They were either too dark or too light lol. But the coverage is amazing and lasts all day!

I could use all the beauty tips! I recently read it is better to switch from powder to liquid or cream when you age.

Just curious…who needs makeup to last a whole 24 hours!! LOL But that’s awesome to find one that will last all day. I hate having to reapply! Thanks.
