Be A First-Time Sports Car Race Fan With Style

8

My heart skips a beat, in a good way of course, when I hear about racing cars. Who doesn’t love the suspense, beauty of the driving and the beauty of the cars themselves? I certainly do. I am a fan of car racing from ever since and one of the biggest car racing events is coming up as we speak. Guess who is absolutely ready and excited to watch…me

This will be my first time watching. If you are wondering what event I could possibly be talking about; the IMSA Weather Tech Championship Series Racing, in particular, the 12 hours of Sebring race event from March 15-18th and the Weather Tech Championship race on March 18th, that is taking place in Florida.

International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) is the governing body for all these sports car racing events in North America. Some popular car manufacturers will be apart of races coming up in just a few hours. Manufacturer’s such as Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Mercedes, Audi, just to name a few, are you excited yet? I have been preparing for the races and trying to get to know the cars and drivers.

IMSA has made easy for us first time watchers to get ourselves familiarize with the event by putting all this information on their website www.imsa.com. They have everything online for us to see, so what better way to tune in to the event?

I can remember as far back as high school when friends and I would attend local car shows, I can even remember watching local shows on the TV and sat in admiration of the beauty of car racing. So in preparation of this one, I went out to grab some chips and drinks, my favourites to have to get comfortable for the racing events.

I will not be sitting around a television for this one. I am mostly on my phone and laptop, so I will watching from there. What would do if you were to prepare for your first sports car event? What kind food would you get you ready? I love quick and easy because I don’t want to miss anything.

The beauty of how organize IMSA is, is that they have domestic coverage and international coverage, so if you are not located in the US, you can watch the races too in the comfort of your home and get excited. Watch along on FOX Sports beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET today or live on http://imsatv.imsa.com/. You can find more details on how to tune in here.

I have never been to a live big race, but I think it would be a fun event – much more fun than watching on television or something. When I was going through my military technical school, I lived in Texas and nearby there was a drag strip and arena. I did go to that a couple of times and that was fun, but I’m sure it;s not as exhilarating as an entire race. I feel like I would want to each nachos while watching something like this hehe…

How fun! I’ve been to a few (small) car racing events, so I can only imagine the experience of a larger event! My husband loves racing and has been to MANY different events.

I wouldn’t say that I’m a big fan. I used to watch car races especially Formula 1 back then. These days, not so much. Looks like that app is pretty helpful.

I Love racing – I’m a big fan of Formula1 but have only ever seen it on the television. It must be so awesome to actually see it and see how fast they are going and hear all the sounds -fantastic stuff
